These heavy-duty hand brakes are designed and built for long service and accurate bending. Welded steel plate construction, heavy truss rods and braces provide strength and durability. These brakes have numerous adjustment features including: leveling screws and lock nuts on the pedestals; jack screws, shims, and tensioner bolts on the apron; truss rods on the apron, base, and upper leaf. Removable apron angle and insert permit 1/4"" reverse bends in lighter material. The aprons on these brakes are supported by large pins in free-floating bearings. The upper leaf adjustment screws feature TENNSMITH exclusive roller-type thrust bearings to prevent upper leaf creep. Cast steel clamp handles, heavy counterweights and an apron stop rod complement the many other fine features of these heavy-duty brakes.
